Daytona - zx12

Anyone know the possible delivery date on the ZX-12? I heard they were being delayed due to some problems. The dealers here will not say or they just don't know.

Of course "Oh my god! Is in the details" Omega.

You will come back from the dark side....

Seriously though, enjoy whatever you ride cause that is what it is all about.

I'm starting to establish that "oneness" with this one that I never had with the 99. The power wheelies are getting longer and the stoppies are getting higher, the tires are fully scrubbed all the way to the edges and the mill is starting to loosen up and sing a sweet note. I wish you could hear this muzzy, its almost obscene. I just returned from a nice 100 mile session, 190 is becoming commonplace on every highway stint. Ever try a sweeper at 190? Even with bumps the 1300 stays planted like an oaktree, never ever giving you even a hint of apprehension. I'd love to get you in my crosshairs sometime bro. And never forget: OH MY GOD......IS IN THE DETAILS!!!!

For what it's worth...

ZX-12Rs are now appearing everywhere. The first was ridden in South Africa. MCN reckoned it would top 195mph. Speed testing in the U.S. has only clocked 187mph maximum. Within a year all bikes will be restricted to 186mph anyway, at least in Europe, (makes your 99 Hayabusa very valuable). The suspicion at the moment is that Kawasaki has jumped the gun and already restrcited their bike. Wonder wheterh 2000 Hayabusa's are restricted, too.
Has anyone done an official speed test on a 2000 year model Hayabusa?

20% due to altitude ???
When the first busa was on the dyno a year ago , in Johannesburg they had 156 hp rwhp , standard trim. Yes , it is common knowledge that Jo`burg affects power delivery , but us locals usually reckons 5 - 10% !!

Just checking !

Just heard...
Independantly verified speed test of ZX-12R in UK has already hit 190.8mph. Tests continue...

Saw 191 mph on my GPS with my '00. If that's restricted, who cares!!
