daytonna bike week

It must of changed since the last time i was there(about 15 years ago). I thought it was nothing but a harley fest. Cafe bikes pushed over in the parking lots, Me and my buddy were afraid to go 5 steps away from our bikes. Ive been a total of 6 times and i had fun but at the time it was mainly harleys. But i guess metric bikes are "in" now and the event is different.

Swan the busa looks GREAT!!!! I'm still planning on heading down to Daytona, but am not sure on whether my baby will be coming or not. I have to be back that saturday evening which means I can fly down and hang out or take the bike down and have to leave early early saturday morning towing it back..... But hey I got a couple of weeks to decide

Ok I booked a room in St. Augustine (about 60 miles from Daytona), but may still camp in Daytona. The plan is to be in the area the 3rd through the morning of the 6th. Somewhere near the end of the month we can get a final roll call and exchange cell #'s and hotel #. Then we can pick a place to meet

You can try Nova campground I reserved my site a couple weeks ago, have stayed there last 2 times I went great and convenient. All the others were full. If you want a shorter ride out to deland there is a KOA that usually has sites. Hope it helps, stay away from the other campgrounds up north of there alot of drunk harley riders and jap bikes dont mix well!

I'll be riding down from Ky. on the 29th. I'm camping at Holiday (where the beemer guys will be too) (info at www.bcubed.org ; warning its all beemer stuff). I think Spyder runs his own campground - he's the guy who runs the swapmeet(at least one of the many). http://www.spiderspromotions.com/

Hi Gang,
Here's a picture of my new paint job..it was hell putting back together..I found out after the fact that a 2000 hayabusa gas tank does not fit a 2001 gas tank...man things got ugly but it's finally together and after all that hard work...and money..I don't think I want to ship it out to Daytona. I'm still going but with out a bike..I think I'll just rent a scooter for the week. check it out

Another busa rider and I just got back from a one-day blast up to Daytona. We did the the Teresi Dyno Drags and zoomed back home. We did some fine avg. speeds on I95, north and south today.

I stayed close to home today but geeze there were tons of bikes going up and down A1A. I saw some sweet choppers today.

My house is about 1/2 mile east of I95. When the wind is out of the west, I can hear the louder v-twins and sport bikes. I know my noisy D&D's were howling yesterday! Not single motorcycle passed our little busa convoy to or from Daytona. My chain is at its end of adjustment & I hope to get the replacement chain & sprockets before next weekend...

Man they were ticketing the choppers all day. Bars rake etc. State Police issued 450 tickets per day.

ooooooooooooh If that happened to me I would be chattin with the Chamber of Commerce or city events director they usually let alot of stuff go that week so the dont cut into tourism. Still wish I was there...

Sounds like the law enforcement agencies have found a way to cash in on the American chopper craze too.

According to FedEx tracking, the package arrived Ft. Lauderdale this morning ... don't know if I'll get it by tonight. If so, then I know what I'm doing this evening and it aint going to Ballbuster Video!

I might as well take the nose cone off and put in that xenon low beam bulb too.

Yes I got together with her one night for music and a few drinks. I did not want to insult her by offering her a ride on the back of the Green Dragon.
