When you apply a disc brake, aren't you supposed to roll the bike until the lock makes contact with the caliper?

Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this ...

Also, they sell locks with the bungee-cordy-thingy which goes to your handle. That way you can see it and remember you have placed the lock onto the bike.
I put the alarm one on mine so I wouldn't ruin the fender, the alarm didn't go off and it broke it anyways

If you roll it all the way forward and then back up when you go to take off you will break the fender anyways.

The bungee is the best method for remembering the disc lock.

I preffer an alarm over anything else.

my disk lock was around $70.00 and has a tilt alarm in it. all you have to do is stand the bike up off the kick stand and the alarm goes off.. That keeps you safe and also lets you know if anyone is messing with your bike.
