DMV fees for annual registration renewal

I sure will never complain again about the $200 some dollars bill I get as a birthday present ever again. Talking about that, do yours also expire on your birthday month or do you guys all renew on a specific time of the year?

It starts from the first day it’s registered and annually on the same day forever. Sadly fishing licenses expire on New Year’s Day no matter when they were issued. Buy one in December and buy another in January. A reall ripoff.

Gotta love Alaska, $100 for 2 years on cars less than 7 years old, I don’t remember how much bikes are. But after 7 years old, $125 and it’s permanently registered. Never have to spend another dime. Trailers can be permanently registered right away.

^SAME! Holy Toledo...I had no idea it was this high in some states...just the Busa was $24.60 for me in FL

Our annual vehicle registration doesn't cost us anything and it automatically renews...

I don't even have a sticker on my plate.
Lucky you! The worst part about USA is the states that have inspections. Why should people have to pay for inspection to get a sticker on a 0 miles vehicle tue just drove of the new car lot? It’s ridiculous and a scam! Mom moved to PA and the shop wanted her to spend $2000 on repairs to get her sticker. I asked for the list of items needing attention and they were telling her she needed to replace the brakes I had just installed a month before she left Florida. I ended up stopping by the shop myself and questioned them, while I was on a road trip To NY. I asked them to tell me the minimum work needed to pass inspection and wanted the tech to show Me why the brakes needed to be replaced. 30mins later I walked out with the sticker. :banghead:

My son in Nova Scotia has to get his vehicles inspected every two years and they always find something because it's a big money grab....
