Do HID's make a difference?

personally, i like the overspill of light since it helps me see deer, possum, armadillos, raccoons, etc. in ditches and/or ditchbanks next to the road when i'm riding at night

Thats probably one of the most reasons i would get HID's, theres a lot of deer and raccoon where i live running around at night
