If that is the factory tire on a Gen II - Definately time to replace.

yep, factory tire. Got some michelin pilot power pure's mounted up today. 15 miles on them so far and the traction/tread wear is outstanding

My rule of thumb is once they hit the wearbars, it's time to toss 'em.

If I was gonna have my better half on back... I'd most definitely replace them prior to your ride.

I'm replacing mine as soon as the wear mark is touched...
Going to replacve mine any day now... Had a less nice experience going thru a roundabout in the rain.. Went sideways for 30 feet doing 20mph...
