Do you own any gold?

Real gold?

As of 3:02 PM EST on February 12, 2025, the price of gold was $2,910.39 per ounce. This is a change of $5.30 from the previous day.

Just $89.61 under three grand!

I have some silver but not very much gold. Silver is a whopping $32 an ounce. Helluva difference eh?
I have just some random jewelry that has sentimental value to me. I’m tempted to put it all on my small scale to see how many ounces it is. Lol

New Zealand is so poor we can only afford gold paint at 18 bucks a can!

I weighted the little bit of jewelry I have out of curiosity and is 1.6oz of 14 k gold. I know last time I tried looking for the matching necklace for my bracelet, they wanted $7k for it. I can only imagine how much they want now.
Then you go to somewhere like Dubai and gold shops are everywhere and used to be dirt cheap to buy.....probably not now...

But if I am to travel there to buy cheap gold the cost of travel??? ROFL
We used to fly through there quite often.....and sometimes we'd have short leave there...

The place was amazing.....

My former colleagues who are still serving still go there......one rented a Gen 3 Hayabusa to try it out but it wasn't for him as he normally rides a RSv4 Panigale.....pretty hard to compete with that....

All my gold came from the Dominican Republic because my dad used to sell jewelry when we lived there. Most people that lived in the USA used to wait until they went back home on vacation to purchase gold due to the low price but, like you said, those days are probably long gone in all those places that used to be cheap.

When I was with the UN in Cyprus, we would go over to the Turkish side and gold was dirt cheap......at least half the price of gold on the Greek side...

I went there in 2011 and the gold on the Turkish side was just as expensive as anywhere else....

I typed too many letters....he used to have the Aprilia but now he rides a Panigale V4....

He buys a new bike every other year....it's hard to keep up...
Man. My hero. I rode a RSV4, breathtaking. Haven't had the pleasure of the V4 Panigale yet.
BTW I own no gold. I did notice the price on eggs at the store is on one of those changeable marquees, like gasoline.

He's thinking about getting an H2 Carbon this spring as his Duck is a couple years old......but not quite sure yet.

He said the Gen 3 Hayabusa he rode in Dubai was too heavy and slow for him.......he used to have a Gen 2 years ago...
