By special request I'm making an extra wide rear stand for a guy who is installing a 240 rear tire on his 06 R1. Do you guys think there is a market for these type of stands? If so I suppose I could make a jig and add them to the site.

What about your adjustable stand

I thought they just stay upright because of the fat tire....

I don't hink there's a huge amount of people that need it but hey, if it just means you have an adjustable jig it may be worth advertising them...

making a stand for a 240 rear wouldnt be a bad idea. i dont imagine there is a HUGE market in them but atleast anyone interested in one would be able to get them through you.

I agree with ozzy. you may also want to think about one to accomodate the 360 tire as well. might not be a huge market there either, but as already said, atleast you would be ready if anyone did need.

I would say go with something like a universal adjustable stand. That would be DA BOMB!!! Remember, you heard it here first.

yes but a small one. it might take awhile to recoup the design cost . but i think it would be worth it in the long run.

I think if you made a stand capable of taking up to a 260 or 280 that used the spring loaded flat things instead of spools you'd clobber the Cruiser market and maybe a few sportbike guys too. There is not much for say a tricked out Warrior or VTX or Sportbike with a Fatty...

My VTX had a 240 rear tire conversion on it. When I lifted it, I used a motorcycle stand that lifted it from underneath.

With the design of the wheel stands, you'd have to have a LOT of leverage to lift a VTX - they're a bit heavier than a 'busa. A VTX weighs in at around 650-700 lbs.

There are a few in this area. Dont know if we would move any at all.....

Website maybe, in house probably not.
