does my tire look okay?

This is what that tire will look like in about 100 miles, don't do it! I certainly won't again.

I've rode on a tire way worse than that it actually had the white thread coming through half way around it about an inch wide but i dont advise it it could turn out really bad i was broke and car was broke down so it was my only transportation but usually if you have to ask yourself if something is bad it usually is

Well my bad for repeating stuff my computer didnt load everybody else's replies just the orginal post sorry again

Wow I know tires aren't cheap, but how much would it cost all the things that are going to get destroyed when that baby pops?
No way it can be worth the risk.

You been doing burn outs on that tire or something? Never seen a tire look like that..

My god, those aren't chicken STRIPS, those are WHOLE Chickens!

j/k, ride your own ride :beerchug:

My Diablo (same tire he has) did the same thing....the cords are RIGHT below that little flaky looking rubber. Didn't do any burnouts on mine. It's just the last little flakes of rubber before the cords say "HI, HOWYA DOIN?!!"

Man i was out bs'ing with a buddy in the garage today and noticed the RR's rear has started to do the same thing, its on dunlop qualifiers, was thinking hmm i need to start watching the tire on the honda after seeing this and sure enough...
Thanks for the reminder:thumbsup:

Dude. You cannot be serious. Either buy the tire or dont make the trip! You will regret it. I can see doing so with a car(even still not so safe) but on a bike? Come on Cutting corners with bike maintenence is like digging your own grave.

I'll asume by now either you've replaced the tire, not ridden it since this post, or had a blow out and need a tire. Either way you need a new tire.
