Does this sound right?

My adjuster told me to give him a list of all the parts i had installed on the bike but when he came he was in such a hurry i couldnt tell him all of them so i just sent him an email with all the mods he didnt write down. Might as well get every penny i can.

A friend of mine got $9200 for his stolen 06 busa last summer with zg wind screen & yosh cans. The $ was for the value of the bile no mods were covered. I think he made out like a bandit! Keep in mind this wasn't even a full year ago.

You never get a fair shake from the insurance company. They are not in business to treat you fairly.

However, Attorney's are a different breed. Turn the pit bull loose on the insurance company and for a measley $5K he will certainly get you an additional $150 even if he has to pay it himself!

:beerchug:

Jump on that money and get another sled before you end up dragging this thing out for nothing..

Make sure they count your helmet, if it is required in your state its automatically covered.
wow thats cool, had no idea and you just hate throwing a $600 lid in the trash.. Does this fall outside the regular insurance coverage do you know?

Did you keep the receipts for your accessories? You should be getting reimbursement for your bike, helmet and accessories that were added to the bike. Tires are not accessories. Tuning is a service and is not covered. Your frame sliders, PC and tank pad should be covered. You might be able to get full replacement value for the accessories if you supply receipts.

be carefull as some power adders driving at high speed ect can actually void your ins policy

From what I understand they will cover up to $500. I'm sure this is different company to company. But if it is required by law that you wear one it is required they insure it.

That's true as well, you might want not want to point out the fact that you didn't feel the fastest bike on the road was fast enough to go the speed limit. Don't give them a reason to fault you or question that you were doing anything wrong.

Ya i have all of my receipts but he said i didnt need them. They go through some autosource company to get the value. When he called the bike in they ask for all accessories and condition of the bike (which was excellent) and mileage at the time of the accident, and then they tell him the value.
This whole situation is on big headache lol. I'm never gonna ride my bike to work again.
