BTW - it also only took me about 15 minutes to do. I used a hacksaw to start the notch in some, then used a medium-toothed file to grind away the plastic. Afterwards, I used a fine-toothed file to smooth it out and create nice lines.

It worked nicely, and looks like it came from dealer that way.

Speaking of humps,one of my favorite subjects btw, has anyone modded the underside to allow for more storage yet? Im sure there has got to be a way to put in a little trap door to store some more stuff !!

Oh yeah, I ride with the hump, I find 2-up to be a bit stressful, I don't mind hanging my ass out but I don't like the responsibility involved with 2-up riding. I don't get to have any fun...Wife doesn't like that much...and she did sorta help buy the bike...Glad she is to short to reach the ground...

Why does anyone keep the grab rail? Its heavy. Its not in a good spot to hold onto if the throttle gets twisted hard. You'd slide right off the back and get dragged. Besides, only women ride the back of my bike and they better hold onto me. I hump a lot with no notch and if needed the seat drops right in - no grab bar.

Do you guys think the grab bar is a spoiler?

Um yeah, Grab the grab bar produces some pretty good down force at high speeds...up around 400 MPH it should really come into it's own...Duh, Man...you need everything explained?

Very good points. But, my wife finds it comforting... Don't ask me why. She hangs on to me anyway. But, if she digs it, so be it!

Oh yeah...I ride one up only, but still have the passenger seat on. Too f-ing lazy to go out and do the hump thing. You know what I mean

I just figured out a good use for the grab bar.... You can lock the throttle on the freeway and slide back...Then grab the bar and slide on your boots like a water skier. That should wake up grandpa in the buick as you rip on past him! Kind of a street version of the tricks the dirt riders do, only Busa style.

I use the hump all of the time. I have the yosh full high mount exhaust now so I don't have the right rearset.

Depends if the girlfriend is on or not. It's soo easy to swap out. Hump when I'm alone and the seat when the girl's on the back!
