Doing my first oil change

Oh please...change the filter...drain the oil. Reinstall the drain plug torque to 16.5 ft lbs.

Pour in 4.0 qts of fresh oil...your good to go

Well that about covers it. Perry, call me and I'll walk you through the first oil change with all the do's and do not's.....from pulling the fairing to using a little tin foil, to torquing the drain plug.

Hit Walmart or somewhere and buy, at the very least, a 3/8" drive ratchet, extension, and metric socket set from 10mm to 19mm. Get a set of 3/8" drive metric allen head drivers also (six drivers), they come in a set. They sell the filter tool at Autozone for about $3.00. From there all you have to do is say "Spud I need some oil", and I'll get you Amsoil 10w40 for $31 a gallon (4 quarts) and an EaOM 109 Amsoil Filter (The BEST on the market hands down) for $12.75. These prices are before tax, but you'll never ever regret running Amsoil Brother !.

I run Mobil 4T race and have been using a Purolator filter, great combo.

Resist using 150# click type torque wrenches on small fasteners, particularly when they thread into aluminum. They are notoriously inaccurate at lower ranges-poundages.

NaH! Every other! Oh please! Don't waste your money! The filter is good for two.

Why would I put fresh oil in my beloved Busa and leave a dirty arse filter in the lube system. Oil and filter every time.

Some genius with Zuki came up with that BS because of the fairing removal.

What a pain takeing off the right fairing on the 09 Busa to change the oil, But it went on alright.

Anything wrong with this for my oil change?....
