Double Bubble from Japan

Hi gang- my name is Shane, and I’m ridiculous.

I’m ordering parts for a bike that I haven’t even ordered yet.

So, I ordered the double bubble that another member posted from eBay. $103 shipped FedEx
(katsuyamteitok_0 on eBay)
With the resin shortage, figured I’d get mine at least.

It came from Tokyo via FedEx, took about a week.
I remember the smoked Zero Gravity double bubble on my Gen 1, quality wise this seems to be on par. For $100 I went for the tint. According to their measurements this isn’t as high as the ZG DB.
Minor box rub came off with windex, same with fingerprints. I’m looking forward to slapping this on when I get my Busa.

No, you're NOT ridiculous at all . . .
you are 'acting in faith' .
Definition of faith is ......

Hebrews 11:1 ..... Faith is the substance of things hoped for . . the evidence of things not seen.

That screen IS 'the evidence' of the very thing not seen yet, the substance of the very thing you hope for, your new Busa!!!
(hope I'm not quoting that verse out of context)

Love it

This is just some of what I had for my Raptor 700, months before I found it, told ya it's a sickness, lol

With me it all depends what I am buying....when I was looking for a Hayabusa, I wanted a used one so if I didn't like it, I wasn't out a big pile of money as I now how hard a sell they are.

I wanted to find one first and then see what it needed...in my case, the Bumblebee needed nothing as it was very well set up. I just did a few upgrades to the suspension and changed the fluids.

That being said, when I was out truck shopping and decided on the brand (Ram) as I was buying new, I went out and got a few things in anticipation such as Weather Tech mats and things like that...

I'm the same when looking for used stuff too, which is normally what I buy.
My F150 was my first new vehicle, and a forever keeper as far as I'm concerned.
I wanted a Raptor for many, many years, and was able to buy a new one(after Months of searching, and a year and a half later they are still hard to come by).
I plan for it to be with me forever as well.
Finally, I've been searching for the perfect forever bike for years too, and as said, the gen3 is it. And since I'm familiar with and have owned a Busa, it's a no brainer for me.
I still have my DRZ400, which needs minor repairs. I'll finish that whenever I get a garage set up in a new place.
It's fun, but more fun knowing that I can trade it for another toy, or sell it to fund gen3 mods.
I'll probably get an older 1k for trade or with the cash from the sale.
That way I can get another one of my friends back on 2 wheels with us, as he can't afford his own right now.

It’s a Can-Am Outlander 450, bought it with the plow/winch all at the same time.

Alaska doesn’t play when it comes to snow.
Your riding season must be fairly short....

I was in Alaska many years ago training with an American unit and I think it was in April...we were wearing tee shirts here and winter jackets there.

Last year I was chipping ice out of the driveway- a couple hours later I went to play golf. Columbia jacket, beanie and 2 gloves. Roll was AMAZING with the hard ground....only had to take 2 drops (freebies) because of snow piles where the sun doesnt hit the grass in the hills.

Winter last we had 8 months of snow, our first snow fall was in September in 2021. I don't know what to expect this year tbh. But if I have the busa and the Ducati, i'm going to use every available hour of daylight making noise and burning dinosaurs!

Yess!! the trsty ol' DRZ . . . I love mine and have so much fun on it, and have had the odd close call of falling off it, usually my own stupidity and youthful exuberance causing that lol. I keep thinking I'm still 18 but then my body reminds me of my advanced years dammit.

If it had a 6th gear I'de probably keep it forever, but it is a fun go-anywhere cruiser, I miss riding it.
