double bubble is it trouble ??

For high speed performance riding I would recommend the Double Bubble.
I'll attach a picture. But to answer your question, no, we haven't
personally tested the screen at over 175 mph. The only race track I know
of where speeds can exceed 175 is Daytona. Our screens were used on the
Corona / Ebsco Media Hayabusa entry at the 24 hr. endurance race a
Willow Springs last November. But they barely crack 150 mph down the
straightaway. It will take awhile to really determine the performance at
over 175 mph... ZG this is what they told me on the test they did.

> ok thank you the bike i was talking about was the hayabusa, has anyone been over 175 with the db screen if so how did it perform?
did it feel safe,

I've exceeded 170 [corrected speedo]since installing my ZG DB in late Dec. No problems that I could detect. It provided a larger area to duck behind than the stock screen. I would have gone a bit faster but there was a 20mph crosswind that day and it was wearing me out. It was last Wed.

I hit just over 170 with mine, no wind problems at all. Bike was very stable and I was glad that I could fit under the flow of the wind.

You guys taking the Busa to Daytona for the race? If so we need to get together for a drink or a little bs. We are doing just the 750 SS this year, SB is just $$$$.

Did I see you guys with a one piece fairing at Road Atlanta (Suzuki Cup)? Where did it come from?

I go full speed with mine every time I ride. No screen shake. Head entirely out of the wind. Near perfect optics. Reduces my jacket flapping by half or more. Substantial noise reduction since your helmet's in calm air - you can really hear the engine well.

Those that ordered and have the screen, did you get clear or smoke screen?I'm thinking of getting the smoke screen but I'm worried about night riding, any comments on either screen is welcome. Thanks

Animal, I'm now in my beloved garage standing at the front of my Busa.

As I gaze downward around the forks through the front of the DB screen, I can see:

-The wrapped harness for the turn indicators, hi-low beams and horn, plus attendant wire ties and routing clips.
-The harness for the ignition control module
-The unfinished white metal housing of the ignition module housing
-2 cables for the throttle and neutral throttle
-2 hydraulic lines for clutch and brake

It's a jungle of unfinished clutter down there, and the dark smoke hides it all very well. If you pick a clear DB, you'll see it...well...clearly. For perfectionists like me, it's not a pretty sight.

I will now proceed to not commit suicide, but I would appreciate it if you would :)

No, won't do.

See your point but have no problem with that ... and ... your remark about fork hole, especially left one , reinforced the idea I had that you were thinking about the entire wiring harness that runs around the left ram air intake and which is covered mostly by some other fairing parts and not at all by the screen.
The stuff that you are talking about is all around the headstock and unless you wanna talk ST1100 or the likes there's no way to really hide this and this is only out of your line of sight from certain angles when viewing through the (dark) screen. It won't even hide it from yourself when seated on the bike, so I couldn't imagine you were talking about that stuff.
Well, it shows that there are people out there that are even more detail-freak than I am (removed fast-idle cable and changed/rerouted clutch-line to follow the lines of the fast-idle cable in its place, leaving left-side of frame around headstock all empty, no ugly metal hydraulic line there).

Cisco Vegas is right, but at night you CAN just lower your head so your eyes look just over the screen...and your head will be in 90% calm air.

I dunno...how often you run at full tuck at night?

Another consideration is aesthetics: The dark smoke hides a lot of wrapped wire harness trash that you don't want to see when you view the bike from the front and above.

Animal I could be wrong (I'm at work and my bike's not) but I remember that factor being part of my decision to go with dark smoke.

I recollect seeing some harness and other **** down in the fork holes. Left hole in particular. Lemme check when I git to my beloved garage and if my memory is faulty I'll have myself shot, or lobotomized at the very least.
