Down. Not bad, just venting.

It was bound to happen. After 3000 miles in the past 5-6 weeks, riding in rain, low 30 temps, a little snow yesterday lol, the F'n leaves got me. I used to say I survived the busa as a first bike without meeting concrete but eh...

I was backing the bike up against a curb and didn't realize how severe the crown in the road was. I put my left foot down and back stepped, planted my right foot and it was around a 3-4 inch difference and I didn't see/realize how deep it was as well as having leaves on it. Went to plant my right foot and got the weight of the bike on it and boom. At least we now know tip over sensors work.

I can't be mad. It wasn't a rookie move. I think if anyone was there it would have happened. As well as not being mad....... The sliders are still not on yet. I'd be pissed if I thought it woulda helped but the curb bottomed out on the plastic that covers the oil filler and somewhat on the kanji. Only 1 piece got damaged where sliders wouldn't have stopped it.

Man that bike is a fat bit&h. I like thick girls but 560 wet weight is crap to pick up lol.

I really can't be mad. It happens. At least the brocks ct and Gilles rear sets I just put on are still sweet. Lesson learned. Don't trust Michigan roads. Those taxes were reassigned to paying government office/seat salaries.

Good to hear you/bike came out relatively OK. I have lost count how many tip overs I've had over the years :(

Sorry to hear this, Misty had her first mishap a little while ago, It wasnt that bad either but it still gets too you.

Yeah only the big side fairing is scratched and as far as me my back is killin me from picking it up and a severely bruised ego.

Sorry about the mishap.
Yeah, Michigan roads are the worst. The metro Detroit area potholes are absolutely huge and anymore the country roads are either pea gravel laid over tar or chock full of tar snakes! Throw in the ever increasing deer population and it can get pretty exciting some times. And at anything under 50 degrees the BT-016 is about useless in 1st and 2nd gear.

Sorry for the damage but at least the seasomn is at the end.

happened to me the second day of ownership, brand new. Warming it up in the driveway (slight incline), like i always did with my gixxer 750. Standing next to the bike getting ready to strap my gloves/helmet on, i notice she's goin down. Rolled right off the kickstand, i caught the bike on the way down but couldn't hold it and had to ease it to the ground. You aren't kiddin that the busa is a bi*** to pick up off the ground. Luckily only damage done was a minor chip in the fairing that a sticker took care of:laugh:

lol....gotta love tickers...they make the bikes go sooo much faster!

I always picture those guys that run on the logs in the water when i hear about these kinda tip overs, cause if it were me i'd be running up the side of that big girl to get outta her path:rofl:

Leaves are nasty not only that way but i got a little squirley on some leaves that the wind was blowing around the road by my house this morning, slippery lil bastards
