drag racing tire

just want to know what tire you guys are running for drag racing. im look for something i can race with and still be alright on the street.sorry if you guys already went through this topic.i just want some input so i dont buy a bad tire.thank alot.

I have a shinko 003 steath .. I have yet to try it on the track but it is a bit better than the stock tire on the street ..I'm going to run my turbo kawi at the track wensday nite test and tune and see if it works ...I hope it does!!! I'll let you know ...Lee..

run either the mickey shootout tire....(doesn't last too long.) won't last at all on the street.

the shinko ultra soft

or the normal shinko...


I run the normal shinko and have awesome results with it hooking at the strip and on the street.

Up Date on my new 190 shinko ..I went to the track tonight and was so unhappy .. the first 3 runs i smoked the tire the hole 1/8 mile !! I keep dropping the tire PSI till i got to 9 PSI (started @ 20 psi)and the bike started wheeling @ 9 PSI ...After i found the right PSI the shinko worked great!!! So in closing it was the rider and not the tire .. ..Lee..
