drag racing tire

Up Date on my new 190 shinko ..I went to the track tonight and was so unhappy .. the first 3 runs i smoked the tire the hole 1/8 mile !! I keep dropping the tire PSI till i got to 9 PSI (started @ 20 psi)and the bike started wheeling @ 9 PSI ...After i found the right PSI the shinko worked great!!! So in closing it was the rider and not the tire ..:) ..Lee..
d00d your track must suck..... tell them to do a little prep work

I run 25 psi in my normal shinko putting 270hp to the ground and don't have a traction problem.

You have to scuff the Shinko up really good...I had a new one on and went to the track and it did the same thing...Scared the shat out of me...Got it scuffed up and it started to hook it's a$$ off...

thats what the store sells em to dragracers for. surely shipping would be extra, but not sure how much?

on a marginally prepped track, I will spin a broke-in shinko 003 at over 16lbs. alot depends on the rider, bike, atmospheric conditions, etc.

a well prepped track with a 700lb bike/rider package under 250hp will be fine on the shinko 003.

my next tire will be the shinko ultra soft. 2 of my partners already using them and are very pleased, saying they work better than the MCR2 on its best day!

I'LL CHECK THAT OUT..

THANKS

MY HOME TRACK HAS AWESOME HOOK... ALLOWS ME TO RUN ALOT OF PRESSURE.

the name of the track i go to is "the house of hook"

Our track is called Sunshine Speedway, In the summer 92+ deg we call it Slipshine Slowway... My bike is 500 pounds and i weight in at 125... It's making around 210 hp to 220 hp on 8 psi boost.... Having the tire @ 9 psi and lower killed my MPH but i did get it to hook after the sun went down around 8:30..Both tracks here have tried everything to get the track to hook in this nasty FLA heat .....It just doesn't work till fall ; spring and winter ...

If you guys get together and pay for 8 R003's at a time i will ship them tyd for $125-130 in the lower 48 states 180 or 190's and 200's would be $15 more.I can get you the fronts in 120/60's or 120/70's also for $85 tyd in either size. I'm in oregon with cache.
