Are you going to dish out the stock seat? Are you goiong to add a layer of foam or other material behind your belt line so you can't slide back? That 3m super 77 adhesive works good for bonding foam and fabric.

at first I was going to shave it down, but thought it would be touch extra work trying to get it as even as I wanted it.
Seeing that the foam is somewhat molded to the shape of the seat I will cut it and add a thin layer of foam and assemble it in 2 sections
the rear piece I marked to be cut I will use as the drag guard ( seeing that the seat foam is hard to help with stability )my brother will give me a little had in how to do the stitching.

An electric carving knife works well to cut the seat down, but will ruin the blade. Check a local thrift store for an old one.....

Also cut back about 2" from the front of the seat, its not needed and it will help to get you closer to the tank. :beerchug:

Why not just go out and buy a drag seat? Don't you need the stock seat to ride the bike on the street?
