Any of you guys using this? I would like some help getting my bike setup with this. Basically SWB with a brocks full system. How have you guys that are using started out playing around with the settings to get it to where you are now with it.

Thanks!

i guess im asking more about the wheelie control settings. Forgive me im not on my computer that has the program on it. Know its reducing timing and has a rpm rate method to it.

hi fellows why not the easy way nice rectangle on the throttle grip & A Fine line on the glove lining up with the start of the rectangle wind the grip to the end of the rectangle that 4 me is 6000 without looking at the tac, till 11.500 .

Dont think I follow? Have a pic?

The thing I am asking for is a setting with ECU editor to help control wheelies.

Well, what you are talking about and what the launch control does are two different things.

What you probably want to do is use the STP's to control the power, and wheelies. I thought about it, but without a lot of time on a dyno, I decided not to do it. Just closing the STP's without remapping is not ideal.....

As far as killing timing, etc, I have no experience there. I know some people have done some work in that area, but they are usually pretty close-mouthed about it.

I think he is talking ablout slew rate. Which controls how fast the rpms increment. Yes this is a great tool for swb drag racers. I looked into it. As of now I am just running c mode in 1st then switching into a mode while shifting into 2nd.

Agreed! These are time consuming tuning with software. They vary due to riders weight, altitude of track, track conditions etc.
I would suggest by the editor and interface go to your track and start off real tame and then decrease the slew amount till your front wheel is controllable.

ok friend the throttle grip, what i did with the throttle closed i draw a line on the glove in line with another line on the grip so the lines meet when u put your hand on the grip twist the throttle to 6000 or whatever your comfortable at launching then draw another line & i fill in the space in betwen the 2 lines on the grip.
the beaty of its adjutable lol. all u do then is put the hand on the griptwist the thing to end line & voila
same revs every time u launch. if u need a pic ill get 1.

The problem with messing with the slew rate is that it is a traction control. I thought my bike was trying to shift multiple times because the wheel would spin ever so slightly on shifts. That activated the slew rate and made it chop the timing and feel like it killed the bike. It was that sudden. Slew rate will not control wheelies

We are talking SWB. 98% of my passes on my SWB I dont have any issues with wheel spin unless on a dirty track.
I disagree slew rate will control wheelies on a SWB bike, same as the ZX14r/BMW 1000r has its traction control mostly to prevent wheelies

Ludicrous is correct. Traction control is different than wheelie control. Traction looks at slew or spin. Wheelie control looks at suspension travel limits, and the Busa doesn't do that, nor does ECU editor have anything magical to do this.

Correct me if I am wrong.. slew rate is what controls how fast rpms increase..
If adjusted peoplely I would think this would prevent wheel lift in the first 3 gears..
I fully understand how traction control works either it be with a spike in rpm or wheel speed comparasant with wheel speed sensors.

Hey, do whatever you want.... I am just telling you what I figured out after a couple weeks of tweaking it. When I hit the button on the air shifter, the tire would chirp, and it felt like I was killing the engine 3-4 times. It was audible when watching it and you could feel it on the bike.

I just natrually figured you were foot shifting with a SWB. Have you tried foot shifting with the slew rate? Are you killing the ignition through the ECU, air kill switch, or digital timer?

I noticed it one time leaving work, got on it hard and it started to spin (I guess) and the bike felt like I hit the air shift button. But the airshifter was switched off. The bike killed istelf two times, and really upset the handling, as I was leaned over pulling pulling out of the parking lot onto the highway.
