You admit you were drunk, he could tell you were drunk, so you probably WERE checking out his girl. The fact that it took you a few minutes to contemplate the situation and stew about what he said points to you being somewhat impaired. You were only that mad because you got caught. Supposedly breaking the table is not the most mature thing to do- but only getting escorted out and leaving the bar safely, without getting your ass kicked is a good thing. I dont think you were a "victim" at all, actually your probably at fault by having 2-3 too many... a mistake most of us have made !

I work at a bar on Saturday nights as a bouncer and see this stuff all of the time. I try to tell the guys that if somebody is "looking" at your girl, you should feel proud. Now if they touch her, hell I get pissed. I had a chick try to hit me with a barstool two weeks ago....she fell down and hit her face on the dance floor somehow.

I am with you on the first half........if you were drunk at a bar, if you weren't driving I don't have any big issue with it - and even if you did check out his girl it was probably because she was wearing something that garnered attention. That's on her not him if she goes to a bar like that.

The second half sounds like you are at fault and they aren't. Splitting a table is no accident, and if they only threw you out and not beat you up or at worst call the cops for destruction of property it sounds like one of the best possible outcomes.

I am certainly no saint with doing things impaired that were less than intelligent, but recognizing it can help you move forward.
