Dropped it!! Brand new 2011 1 week old

So I am in my garage working on puttin on 1"1/4" risers. I move the bike to make some room between the storage cabinets and the bike. I did not realize that in this process the kick stand folded somewhat so when I let go...ohhh nooooooo The mirror hit the plastic storgae cabinet and folded. So there is my bike laying on its side. I have never seen such a horrible sight in my life. I panicked got my super dooper adrenaline strength and lifted the bike ruber side down. To my surprise no damage The rubber on the mirror got a little twisted but that's about it.

I continued the installation and man what a difference. To all the older Busa riders risers are a must. 1"1/4 worked perfect.

move bike =kick the stand out every time, get off bike= kick the stand out every time, I do it just to be sure it's like second nature now. what I mean is. i dismount the bike totally, and the straighten it back up while holding the bars and push the kickstand with my foot toward the front of the bike just to make sure it's fully extended. the noise of it dropping when you turn your back haunts you for life, and that little tiny ding that no one else can see, is the very first thing you see every time you open the garage door. glad it's OK for you though

I hereby slap my self across the forehead now i'm official :duh::duh: I'll try to post some pic of the risers. Kinda hard to see cuz the are black and blend rt in with the top piece..I do need some chrome piece caps//totally F*&^K them up removing to get to the hex bolts

LOL... funy you say that I actually I traded my Yamaha FJR for the BUSA. The risers rise but not that much LOL . After all I am the old man on this board I think!! 52
