There are folks here older than 52 Easy...much older!!

Stop doing whatever you're doing and go buy the biggest powerball whatever ticket now, because I have never heard of anyone dropping a Busa without damage. Congratz

Am so used to checking, rechecking and double checking my kickstand due to these kinds of mishaps. Glad nothing happened and bet you wont forget to check that kickstand again.

Yes I was Lucky. It hit the plastic storage closets and slowly slid down on its side.. I think the mirror hitting first then folding made the bike land gently:beerchug:

But yes I check and double check..from now on I shut the bike off with the kickstand. That way I know it's down.

I don't know about using the interlock to shut the bike down all the time, but it was you or another new owner I tried to warn. Just make sure it's parked as well as possible, level or butt side down hill, bike in gear. I don't know how you managed not to even have a small scratch, but that's great. The mirrors are designed to fold in vs. breaking off like back in the day with your turn signal post

You are not the oldest...But you are a F.O.G.
I'm 54 and there are quite a few still riding their busa like they stole it!
I went the Heli Bar route for touring and twisty riding. Comfortable for me with a New image seat and Beull pegs. Gonna go back to stock pegs for hard twisties...im scuffing my dang boots!

Great to hear you weren't rolling at 30mph when you dropped it! That's what I was expecting when I open up the thread...phew!

Congratulations - I think your the first person in history who dropped a bike and can consider yourself lucky:thumbsup:

I dropped a bike a few years ago and that precipated a two night drinking binge... worst thing - the binge cost more than the bike repair...

I try and post tommorrow.. Bike is at home
