So like the title says somebody decided they wanted my bike more than me and while the hurricane was hitting they got it. Luckilymmm I have the Optimus Tracker on mine and easily went and found him dumped on his side. Smh..so I don't know if anyone remebers I had just went through the ordeal of the tire place tightening the chain so tight it ate almost all of my teeth of so I had to get a new sprocket. I don't know exactly how they did it but the chain was off the bike and the new votex sprocket was completely fucked along with both of my side fairings and the bottom of my nose under the headlight is cracked and broken. So with that being said I'm looking for a set of OEM fairings and idc if I have to buy 1 here and there to piece me a set together because I'm probably going to end up having them painted anyways because I want to go back to the original blue and gold that my bike was. Also I need a tail light and the rear sprocket. So if anyone out here has any of these things listed please pm me with a price and what you have
Thank you

That sucks......it's a sad thing to see humanity at it's lowest....

I wonder how the rear sprocket got wrecked.....that's not a common thing to happen.

Idk I made him a hot bath and talked to him while I got all the mud off but he didn't really tell me what happened he was just sad and said they hurt him :( .
Although there was a branch like ran through my left side fairing that broke the fairing and somehow went straight through pushed against the rear sprocket cover and went out between the chain and swing arm on the bottom. Their lucky that branch didn't implale them because it went in beside the front wheel and through the little debris sheild for our oil cooler than through the inner part of the 2 piece fairing. For it to of done that than I knoe it would of went through someone

If the thief was riding it at the time of the crash, ( most likely was ) there’s probably a corpse lying in a ditch somewhere.. covered in debris from the storm.
Just amazing to see that new sprocket all chewed up like that.. incredible, and how did it get that way?
Must’ve been ridden thru a gravel filled flooded road or something like it, for quite some time.
Sorry to see your bike destroyed like that, must be devastating.

Your well justified in using the F word here on this one as far as I'm concerned. I swear, if I could catch anyone stealing my bike and damaging it, that would need to be one real scary dude before I wouldn't beat him senseless. I am very glad you found your baby with your tracker you had the foresight to have on the bike. It looks to me like you are going to have to be equally self reliant on maintenance in the future. Either that or you have to find a reliable shop no matter how far it might be from you. That is just crazy that a tire shop or any kind of shop would foul up such a basic thing as chain tension. That could have gotten you killed or hurt real bad right there. I hope the dirtbag that stole your bike got f-d up really bad. Sounds like the bike is ok, just needs some expensive TLC. Check Ebay for fairings. If they are damaged, they usually show it in the pics. By the time you paint them all, maybe it would be worth $2500-3000 for a complete set of OEM fairings.

Damn...really sorry to see this.Truly devastating but atleast you got your bike back.

Where was your bike stored during the storm? If a garage maybe the thief is someone you know and knew the bike was in there. Any chance insurance would pickup the cost of repair? I don't think theft would cause your rates to increase. I'd report the theft to the police and who knows maybe someone showed up at the hospital with injuries consistent with a motorcycle accident.

Probably but not necessarily. I remember a hotwire tutorial on here years back. Other wise, the OP left his key in the ignition. Not the best practice but I admit, I do that. It's not a real high crime area where I live and the door is locked.
Ahhh I see, it's common habit there. I pull mine and leave them well hidden, a neighbor knows where and I know where his stuff is hidden, a trusting relationship. I always carry the spare on me too. What's the point of having a spare if it's in a draw at home I say. I guess a few people might change their habits reading this thread. I remember a Wise old man once told me that you learn from your mistakes, but the easier way is to learn from other people's mistakes.

Leaving your keys in the ignition is never a good idea

It was definitely someone who knows me and where my bike lays his head because there is a full size car garage as well as 2 bigger sheds in the back yard where his shed is. They only broke into the one my bike was in and they had to of had a spare igniton and some good size balls because they broke into the shed and stayed in there long enough to take out the security screws and unplug my igniton and plug they one they had with them in and take off. At least I assume that's what happened because my igniton is unplugged and still in my triple tree. I know the police said they had like 10 different calls about missing motorcycles after thr storm

I can't praise optimus tracker enough though. I got an alert as soon as they touched my bike but like a idiot I waved it off because of the storm and though the wind must be making the shed move. But as soon as it sent me the alert that my bike had been crunk uo and was running I flipped out and called the police but because of the storm they couldn't send anyone unless it was an emergency so me and one of friends took off following the tracker.i was so worried when it stopped moving. I just knew we was going to get to where it said it was and i was gonna find the tacker by itself and my bike would of been gone
