E-bay china $180 front rotor's

Oh so you are basing your opinions on other products. We or at least I am talking about rotors for the hayabusa. I dont care what you use for a mountain bike . Ebay rotors and your "super amazing european" ones are exactly the same

Russell, there's just something about your posting style, especially when talking to me, that is a combination of not really getting what I am saying and being confrontational/sarcastic. When you quote "super amazing European" ones, you infer that is what I said and it is not what I said. I have every right to express my opinions on this forum, even if they differ from yours.

raydog, I totally understand and applaud your point of view.
I my self am 40 years old, I have owned many bikes, done lot's of track-days and even the odd rookie's races with promising results.
This is me going for it at Jerez de la Frontera

If there's some thing I've learned, is that when you're racing your mind has to be focused, you can not be wondering if tire pressure is OK, if you have enough fuel, etc. , or... if your rotors are up to the job.
If you don't trust the Chinese rotors, do not buy them. Easy.
Over here it is common to go to track-days abroad (Catalunia, Misano, Brno, Le Mans...) and I just keep seeing more and more people showing up at the track using them and I never saw one failing. Or galfer or brembo or EBC. OEM hayabusa rotors do warp fairly easy though.
My 64 year old dad still rides his Triumph (he knows what's like to be brakeless on a bike!) and after the tests he did to the rotors he gave a thumbs up to his son, so my confidence issue is solved.

As for economics, what can one say??
Maybe we need this wake-up call to get of of our asses and stop saying "we are the best" and start showing why we are the best.

Thanks Alex...here is me doin what you do on that big ol heavy Busa!

 im not being too confrontational. And when i am sarcastic about what you say i do pick things out of what you said. You inferred that you expensive european stuff is so much better than the chinese cheaper things which may be true but not on the product in this thread. And yes you do have a right to an opinion. But you went on a rant about chinese labor laws and tanking middle class of america. Dont try to talk people out of a product that will save them money when you know nothing about the product in question, especially if it is equal quality of the expensive brand name.

OK Marine, you win. Your Chinese brake rotors are as quality as all the others in the world and I was "trying to talk people out of a product". I have a hidden agenda and it's been exposed.

The truth is, we all get to choose what we do as consumers and I hope it works out well for all.

I walked into Carl JR.(hardees) for lunch today....and noticed a big sign that read "Big Burger $.99"

well I order two(2) Big Burgers... However, when the young girl punched it up on the register, and asked for $2.36. I handed her a $5.00 bill and told her to keep the change.

As I sat waiting for my food, I looked at all the other fools that had only paid $.99 for thier burgers. I chuckled to myself knowing that because I had spent twice as much, my Big Burgers would be the best burgers ever.....and would be yummier than thier $.99 Big Burgers, even though they were exactly the same.

Got these on the post last week.
Got them tested (details on a previous post).
Wheel as to be calibrated after install, I'll post results soon.

Obviously I cannot vouch for all the rotors on ebay, but these Arashi are top notch.
Apparently, Arashi is a Japonese brand (arashi means "storm" in japonese) that makes rotor in China. Kinda like american iphones...

The buttons that attach the carrier (aluminum alloy 60xx (61)) are full floating.
You can see the "washer" -sorry, don't know the name in English for that wavy washer- that allows for axial and lateral play.
An electrophoresis process is used to darken non friction parts of the rotor's blade, so it will last with out chipping. OEM rotors are just painted.

Those are beautiful looking pieces, I hope they perform well for you for years! Doyle

When I buy these rotor's before spring, i'll post pic's with mileage and we'll see how it goes. As long as buying a house don't get in the way of riding. :beerchug: Happy Holiday's peep's

...and here they are:

These brake better, much better, than the originals and weigh aprox half (yep, HALF) the originals witch, by the way, are also made in china by "sunstar" (worst name ever for a rotor manufacturer..)

The decreased gyroscopic effect is immediately felt.
Time will tell how these handle mileage and I will keep you guys posted.
So far, I'm loving them.
