ENGINE OIL

My tuner suggests to run a blend. He says it is good for all parts and is a good balance between the two(oil/synthetic).

I have heard the same thing, but I can tell you I used 2 quarts of GTX and 1 quart Syntec (100% synthetic) for the oil changes in my previous Gixxer with no noticable problems. Had almost 10,000 miles when I sold it.

I have tried many many different oils and still go back to 15/50 Mobil 1.

MY TUNER ALSO RECOMENDS A BLEND ... I ENDED UP USING THE BLEND .. HE SAYS BEST OF BOTH WORLDS AND THE GUY WHO I BOUGHT THE BIKE FROM USED A BLEND SO I DECIDED TO KEEP IT GOING WITH THE BLEND.

MOBIL 1. No slip, and change oil & filter around every 1500 miles.

Silkolene Full Synthetic... Made the Tranny feel 100% better, Buttery smooth, Zero Clutch slip, improved power and piece of mind cause you know your running something actually built for a bike in your machine. Why Mickey Mouse around with your bikes life Blood??? Spend the Money, Avoid any oil (DINO or SYNTHETIC) with a really high molly count and you shouldn't ever have any troubles with clutch slipage.

Moving to a premium full synthetic blew me away by the difference it made in the tranny feel, and smoothness. Don't skimp and don't be suckered in by some "voodoo". Do some homework on your own, and check the data for yourself. Unless your like JC and change your Dino oil every week or so, synthetic would probably be an ideal choice. Especially in High Heat High Stress environments... My .02

Ninja, is the stuff you get the Motorcycle Mobile 1 or just the plain auto stuff. I used to run the 5/50 in my ST1100 and it was great in the cold mornings and hot afternoons as well
