Engine reliability

Hi all,
Quick ?. I've read about the power of this engine, but what about long-term reliability? I plan to make it a keeper, and do lots of commuting to work and touring...in other words, a daily rider.
Thanks for info.

There are members here with over 100k miles on theirs. I'm thinking with proper maintenance, it will last a very long time.

+1 Very reliable engine...

Nothing is "bulletproof".  The Busa engine will take alot of abuse.  I have almost 38,000 miles on my '05 and its made several trips to the Dragon and has been on the track.  Still running good.  Just make sure to follow a good maintenance schedule.

Just keep the oil&filter changed, spark plugs ,and airfilter clean. The most Important is the Throttle pinned, She likes it .

Thanks for info. I really am learning much more here than any brochure or salesperson's opinion. With all this power (including torque), I guess having a turbo would make this bike a true missile!

yes, it'll make it a missle but then longevity declines.
