man this is a 50/50, i ran a plug for a month or two and didn't feel comfertable at high speeds, so i replaced it. some peopel will tell you they run plug all the time and haven't ever had a problem, i guess its how comfertable do you feel with it in...

I use fix-it-flat, but always change the riding to easy does it until the tires replaced.

I wouldn't ride on a pluged tire but thats just me don't want to take any chances yano. You ma just want to make it a burnout tire.

I have plugged mine several times, but then again I don't ride that agressively. So for the most part, I don't have any problems with it. Now if I was going to be doing high speed runs, some curves, heating up the tires good, etc.. I would want a new tire.

This shot was taken about 30 miles out of town, no tire kit either. Just happened I was able to call a friend who was in the area with his truck...

Now I have a tire plug kit with co2 cartridges under the hump...

I guess it depends on the type of riding you do. 90% of my time is 65 mph and above since I really only tour. So, pluging and keeping the tire on the bike is NOT AN OPTION for me. I really don't need to worry about a tire while doing 75 mph  for extended miles (150 to 180 miles at a time) , or at night. Although I don't do much night travel any more. :beerchug:

This is as bad as the continual oil, chain lube, which tires are best, TRE or no TRE, which chain cleaner to use etc etc ad nauseam...:banghead:

When were talking bikes my Brother it never gets old... :beerchug:

But, I understand now about a "Tre"...

Same thing happened to me with a rear tire (Qualifier) with less than 100 miles on it. I had it patched and put about 1+k miles on it with no problem. I sometimes will take her up over 100 mph. I would never plug a tire.

For me got to depend on situations,if its a relatively new tyre with a tyre patch i will use it but not more than 1.Will not go at high speed and etc

i have had this happen twice to me with fairly new tires and they was both replaced before i road again. 175 dollars isnt worth takin the chance of it jeopordizing ur bike or urself!

If it is the back tire plug it. Then take some pics of you doing a nasty burn out and replace it. If it's the front replace it.

Had that happen to me a while back, except I was doing about 160 mph when I felt something wasn't quite right..I pulled over & had a decent size hole in my tire...I plugged it up, thinking that it would be a short term fix but ended up using the tire till I needed a new one..Had no problems what so ever with it...

our local shop will not plug tires, i have had to use fix flat to get back home twice, i felt sorry for the mechanics that fixed my tire im sure i paid for it tho:laugh::laugh:

I have plugged a tire with no problems. I think anyone with common sense will adjust their driving habits while riding a plugged tire. But, it ain't gonna pop out. Ride it, check it, then buy a new tire when you have the chee$e!
