Everybody Download Moto GP 2

man I will be back at the parents place over the holiday so I can't race cuz they have crappy dialup. I will be back at my place prolly friday night...so thats the earliest time I could play.

Friday would be fine if ya wanna play.  It's a sweet game - played about 2 hours at the office today with 4 others!!  Takes a few laps to get the feel of braking a LOT then turning but it's fun.

Pick a time for you FST, or I'll shoot for 8pm Friday night CST, and I'll post my IP address to hook up to.

Game play:  Arrows - left, right, accel, brake
advanced:  z x d c  - rear brake, front brake, tuck, sit up

simple & fun!

PS this is what you can do when it's too cold to REALLY ride! :)

I just bought the Xbox version of Moto GP2.  It's a bitch to control with their controller.  They use every damn button and thumbstick on the controller

But the sounds & graphics are cool. And I never knew wheelies were so damn easy! :tounge:

I downloaded it today. Man that is awesome.

I'll be out of town so I won't get to play online...bummer.

I went into the controls and set up my joystick for the game. Now it's a lot easier to control. Best lap time so far after about an hour of playing was 2:18. It's pretty neet how you can actually run through the gravel. Wheelies down the entire straights are really cool.

Is there a way to unlock the demo, so you can use the other tracks and options?

Just a screen capture of MotoGP in case someone is wondering.

No demo unlocks.  The full game is only $20 or less now
I still don't have cornering perfect - can't get it to lean quicker!  The demo is all I have time for really.  I never play full games anymore!!!

I've seen people online hit 1:50 or so for lap times! Amazing runs. There's 4 different bikes in teh demo also and the last 2 you can customize colors and stickers but it does save any of yoru settings. Still it's cool to LOOK like yourself online

Hey guys,

I play this game online all the time. You really should buy it to play on the non-riding (cq. cold and wet) days.

Anyways, here is a screenshot of my best (Sepang) time.

BTW: the fastest time on Sepang is around 1.39

WWJD...Let me know if you wamma play tonight. PM me, or post it here.

Do we just have to go through the multi-player, or do we have to use that GameSpy stuff?

Poco - You showoff...

Setting up MotoGP 2 PC Demo game races right now to start at 8pm CST. You should be able to join my IP directly, but I'll have the GAMESPY system as aback up if IP don't work right.

My IP Address is: 12.216.157.130

Also I'm sitting in Hayabusa.org chat most of night

very successful 10 min. qualifying sessions with stkr00! i schooled him in the arts fo online cycling.

Okay, not really. We're about the same skill-wise hitting around 2:10 lap times.

We need more HAYABUSA.org people to play! Could be a regualar thing when it's to freakin cold to REALLY ride!
Download free game from link above. if your worried your PC can't run it, dial down ALL the graphics. I got it working on a 600 mhz machine

Ooh...Now I see why you were faster. You had all that extra power from using the simple graphics.

I just have to remember that it's NOT motocross, and try to stay on the track. Some of those corners really sneak up on you since you don't have any REAL depth perception on the PC. Now if they had that in virtual reality...that would be KICK A$$!

Look forward to next time.

i downloaded it.

the secret to going fast, virtually or in meatspace, is to memorize the turns (and the actions to negotiate it), that are in front of you.

yeah, what Nick said. unlike a REAL track, I tend to hit the corners REALLY hot, then hit the breaks HARD before turning since I don't really care if I dump it --- it's only a game for crying out loud!
biggrin.gif
But real track experience tells you to anticipate the next corner and 'setup' accordingly. I used to HATE cycle games because they seemed so hard to steer but after gone around a real track, this game feels GREAT and accurate. Like that other guys posted, it's the best game out there for motorcycles. I never got to play Superbike 2001 cuz my XP won't run it.

stkr00: I'm using a 2.1ghz PC, but I was able to make it run on a friend's 600 mhz. I still dial down graphics a tad as I prefer creamy smooth framerate over hi-def glitz, especially if I run the server. Side note me and a friend are working a layman's design for VR game playing using a dance pad, a mouse and VR goggles. the goggles are the hard to find part and costly. For cycling, YOU'LL have to build your own sawhorse/seat/handle bar contraption!! hahahahaha Then I wanna see photos of it.

I know there's more closet game players out there! Come out, it's okay these days to have fun. It's not just for kids inner more. Indulge your inner child
