EVERYONE PLEASE READ

If it happened to me and I found out who dumped the oil...our local newspaper would read **Mystery Sport Biker Beats Cager to a Bloody Pulp and Rides Off Into The Sunset.

hope they catch the SOB or you and your buddies do

suzuki4life is correct....we really should check out the roads thoroughly before taking our bikes up to the limiter. Before I did my first 140mph+ run....I checked out every square foot of the road I was on (backroads in farmland)

I only do high speed roads on those that I am intimately familiar with.

But this story doesn't surprise me. Lots of folks take matters into their own hands and it gets ugly on the roads. We all see this everyday.

Yeah in my neck of the woods, they through gravel on the road in the blind curves. NOT COOL. I try to avoid those areas if at all possible.

I got word from one of the local bikers out here in Santa Monica as well. He told me watch out on Latigo Cyn cause of word that one of the residents there was dumping debris on the hairpins

URBAN LEGEND, Folks....  Yeah there is prolly a tiny little nugget of truth in there, and it prolly happened at some point.  But there are hardly legions of fugwits out there pouring oil on the road.

It's just like the story about the piano wire strong across the road...  Just one of those silly assed stories...

Check out www.tailofthe dragon.com It's a fact

I believe many years ago i went into a tight curve on my 900 ninja--and hit fresh oil poured onto the road-----Barley saved it---slid and banged my right ankle on the clutch cover--ouch. but hey there are a bunch of other riders going way to fast around houses nowdays---and pissi'n off a lot of folks.
Careful gang..a few spoil it for the masses of us.

I have been told by very reliable sources that sand and gravel is thrown into the road in the northGeorgia Mountian near suches. i ride there a llot. Scares the crap out of me !!

Umm, How about Large trucks leaking diesel? Ever heard of that? Smell that? It's pretty common and real easy for someone to jump straight to "Conspiracy".

Here's a pic of my local canyon road. There are FOUR different oil slicks that look just like this. I don't believe this is a conspiracy. I've seen this on roads in Malibu, also.
In some places someone will pull their car/truck on the side of the road and peel out, throwing rocks and sand in the middle of a curve. Always check out the road before ripping it.
