I am going to do the exhaust mod tonite after work. The one where I drill the 6, 1/2" holes into the rear baffle. I read the the stuff on how to do it and what not, but do I have to get the bike mapped afterwards ?
My stock pipe mod was to drill five 1/2" holes in the forwrd baffle plate and nine 1/2" holes in the rear plate and leave the beauty cover off after covering the end with heat resistant paint. Looks good and sounds great. No noticable power difference, no popping, no bad after effects at all. Much louder though...
May sound better but still look ugly as hell. Suffered through mine for a year before I got some Yosh RS-3 Race bolt-ons. Just find some used bolt-ons...only about $150-300 depending on usage, model and condition.
