I guess the reason I was asking is, if I lost a key while I was out riding or away from home.
This should be an unlikely event but if I rode to an amusement park (or any place that had rollercoasters etc) and
the key fell out of my pocket, that would be one reason to have a spare, no?
Yes it would be a rare event that you (or me) would lose a key, but usually, success is directly proportional to preparedness.
ONE time I was at a lake and had swim trunks on and had forgot that I put my car keys in one of the pockets.
Then I proceeded to go jet skiing and when I returned I didn't have any keys.
Again rare as it only happened once.
Yes- sometimes I do learn from my mistakes.
Maybe the best MOD for this case would/could be a thumb a print reader to turn on the ignition and eliminate the keys altogether,
other then the trunk/rear seat - but that wouldn't keep you from riding home if you lost that key.
Nothing to carry other then your thumb.
Something to think about? ??? Pretty common on newer smart phones, no?
