Fairing protector bobbins

Just want to get feedback on whether these Fairing Protector Bobbins are good or bad? I know Frame Sliders are much better but there are some who are not ready to cut into their fairing. In turn, this can be a costly decision if the bike goes down and you don't have nothing. I figured the bobbins are good if your bike is parked and is knocked over or the kickstand doesn't support due to weight or a soft surface.
Would you use them?

I may not be the brightest person around, but it still looks like you will have to cut into the fairing to get them completely in position.

They are light weight, too light weight in my opinion. Probably would snap off if you laid the bike over. I think they go in the existing fairing screw hole too. No drilling required. Pay more, have someone install the true frame sliders for better looks and maximum protection.

BAD...VERY BAD...RUN AWAY!!! iv'e heard if your "lucky" they'll just snap off and you'll drill and re-tap hole.. if not, it'll punch a hole in the frame.
