fairing removal

it's probably the one that goes on the BOTTOM to hold the under wing UPWARD!

JD
+1 That would be my guess also

First what all did you take off? Just the right side main faring or did you remove more?
Then we can help you more.
Guess would be under side, front or the rear if you took that off, 3 bolts down there on the rear end.

I'm sure you have checked the three bolts that attach the oil cooler guard, found directly behind the front wheel? Maybe just an extra that has finally worked it's way out of an up until now tight hiding place. The first time I removed my right fairing, out fell one of those green hex bolts that are found all over in and around the engine block. I spent hours on my side and back with mirrors even, looking for where it goes, but have found nothing to be missing and have chalked it up to being an extra dropped in there during assembly. Like said here previously, you have a total of ten and your pic has them all accounted for. Good luck!

i once found an extra bolt laying on the pan - turns out it was from the crate it was shipped in------

Any "Busa owning buddies" around while you were doing the work. I have been known to slip an extra fastener, oil ring spacer, valve lock, etc near the parts prep area just as an engine was being buttoned up. You should see the look on the builder's face when you point it out to them!

That is a pissser not knowing where the bolt goes, you sure someone didnt punk you?

You got all of them marked except the one below the gauge cluster that holds the dash together .

How about the bolt that holds the inner fairing up top near the tank?

get a ..large baggie .. n keep it some where "safe" .. it seems to me after a few years you will "compile" more ( bolts /parts/nuts/maybe a fairing side or 2 ) ...soon you will have a whole new ( Busa in a -Bag ) .. im just sayin

Just counted mine. Not including the 2 that hold the belly pan, I have a total of 8 bolts holding the left fairing on; 2 large ones, and 6 small ones.
