Fathers like these pants or not ?

That's what is stylish these days. A few of my 20-ish co-workers spend $200+ for jeans like that. If I had a daughter I would say they were less revealing than a pair of shorts.

I personally don't like them but they are the current popular style. If she's a good kid, good in school, and is respectful.....let her enjoy what all the other fashionistas are wearing! Heck, if we(men) bought their clothes they might all look like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz...or the Good Witch!

She is for the most part an excellent little woman . I don't mind tight jeans or clothes that could be seen as 'sexy' as she's coming into her own and i want her to be happy .
But it's just the buying of 'holey' jeans that aggravates me .
Yes I wore torn jeans growing up but those were holes I earned crashing my kdx80 or sliding down the road off my skateboard .
These are new and torn and twice as expensive as a regular pair .

Why she doesn't like Sears Toughskins I don't know

lol hmmmm well ok it like this. they are a pair of 20 dollar jeans that they put all the fade and rips in them so they can change you more for them

Well, at least she doesn't have to crash to earn her "holey" jeans.....If you dump the pants you will no doubt be springing for new ones, al least until a new fad comes along! Good luck! Maybe you should get a pair and sport them around the house???

That is funny . But maybe if i did sport a pair she would see how stupid they look or just laugh at me cuz I was wearing girls jeans

i bought them for my daughter when walmart had them on clearance for 3 bucks....

The thing that gets me is my GF has these types of jeans and she just loves them. Now, if I wear a pair that has a little rip in the knee or near the pocket she flips out and says that I can't go in public dressed like that. Wearing torn jeans in all. But her's are okay because she bought them like that. :dunno:

Funny you say that because if my wife finds even the smallest hole in one of my T shirts she will throw them away or use them for cleaning rags .

Back when I was a kid we would take perfectly good jeans and splash bleach on them. This too will pass......

Blanca,

They're fine, that is just the style now. Whoever said they were to revealing ??? , um no they are not.

All you old farts need to understand and remember how it was to be that age. Remember when it was cool to have a "mullet" - "Rat Tail" - "Left Ear Pierced"?

No different than that. Nobody on here is more protective of their daughter than me, trust me, but let them be kids.

She looks like a very nice young lady Blanca, good job :beerchug:

My mother went through hard times with my insisting to have holes in jeans, she would patch or sew them up and I would tear them back out. Looks like that fad is back.

I see your point being a father (I am one now also) but back in the 80's that was the fashion and I did not understand why my mother was so hell bent on sewing them up or throwing away my favorite pairs of jeans.

I understand now (but I still have one pair with the knees out) ~!~

Sooooo, Saiid, where is the pic of the Cuban Dragon wearing HER pair?

Blanca, you have a beautiful daughter......

pic your battles my friend, while this may be an aggravation to you...spending good money for clothes that look worn out. It is small potatoes compared to the bigger fights to come.

save you energy for :

1. first date
2. make-up
3. prom

good luck.

It seems the "style" is on a 30 year loop. I remember when my friends were buying perfectly good jeans and slashing them.

As for the look yes she may look homeless but I don't see any other issues. Hey take lots of pics. They will be good for Black Mail later in life. You know the same thing your parents did to you.

But I am not one to talk. I wear Cargo Pants all the time.

I don't see the point of buying jeans with holes in them, but if its "in" its "in". Not like I don't sometimes still buy overpriced name brand cloths on occasion.
