Finally got pulled over on the Busa

I got a good one, Was barely moving today and got pulled over... 6 of us went for our weekly jaunt and we start with a little putt thru newport, only takes 5 minutes for the whole town. anyhow, sitting at a stop light just revving a little(kinda like heavy petting with out a girl:D ) light goes green i let go of the clutch mid rev, up goes the front end, down comes the front end and there are the red and blue lights.. all my friends were literally still sitting at the light laughing.. get a awarning for something call caution to starting from stop... means no wheelies or burnouts when you first take off i guess.. anyway, i got my balls chopped all day.. first written warning and going less than 3 miles an hour... gotta live it down... funnny as it was, showed me how easy that 450 pound gorilla will come up on ya... im outta here.. john

and by the way, just because you arent all dolled up in your riding gear from head to toe, doesnt mean your stupid... just a little dangerous... lol.. i barely ever wear my gear, keep the stuff to a minimum unless i go highway, but when i do the beach run, its running shoes, shorts, tshirt, and oakleys.. no helmet.. chicks cant see thru a helmet and if your only going 2o anyhow... i will take my chance.. never failed me yet, knock on wood...

No No... it means your stupid... Just plain dumb... It's OK though man... We still love you...

..man, I 'm speachless! I guess so far we all failed to realise that "chicks cant see thru a helmet"..

..honest as it may be (your comment) can't help you when you crash with 20 (and YOU WILL, when you stare at chicks during the beach run!..), save your head - and the integrity of the beast you're riding - by wearing a helmet.

No matter if it's Beach-run, highway-run, or take-the-money-and-run thing.. your head deserves something around it (..or not?..)

(..ain't trying to be smart a** or anything, I rode helmet-less often and survived.. ..thankfully, the times I crashed was wearing a helmet.. ..now, go ahead and ask me if I ever ride without it.. )

Warnings have their place...And that's all I got to say here...Slowlygettingpoked I'll see you outside!!!

Busa Brother.... MAN IT's Getting deep... If you know there were three units behind you you weren't going anywhere near 170... I'm going to play the BS card... But both times I have had a STOP NO STOP decision to make I saw the LEO's for about 5 seconds... No way they had time to get three units behind you if you were actually moving at any decent speed.... Come on Now what really happened?
Rev, I have 6 other witnesses to prove it. Going north on major highway i get stuck behind a r1 who doen't lane split. My 5 other buddies are hauling ass steadily pulling away. Finally have a clear run so i hit the gas to catch up. i hit 120 as i pass a trooper heading southbound as soon as i pass i check rear view. He hits brakes and turns around. Game time decision i hit more gas. As i blow past my other buddies, i also blow past two other troopers who must have been called by the one going south bound. I then chose to continue to haul for 2-3 miles WOT till i caught an exit. then stashed behind a hotel for a while. then we took the roads back for a few miles. but took our sweet time. No BS here beleive me i am not proud of it, still scared the poop outta me. BUT i knew where i was, had a plan of action and executed. Could have stopped, got ticket lost job etc. so i figured i would give it a run. won't do it again, though not worth it. ( i don't think)

JFK... I dunno why it's been your week in the bucket... I agree though you've been on the recieving end a bit much... Did you get my PM in reply?

----------------------------------------------------

I always look at the whole speeding thing this way... If I am breaking the speed limit by a good margin but not "Loosing your license" type of speeds I'll pull it on over and throw myself at the mercy of the courts...

On a couple of occasions though I have had some unfortunately timed uh... meetings with LEO's at Stupid speeds out in the sticks... Both times I saw taillights and once I saw a big ole cloud of dirt when the LEO started to cross the median as I put my head down... Both these times I pretty much did everything I could to just evaporate, and both times I was out in my turf if you will, you know out in the Country... It was a case of I'm going to go to jail and loose my license, so I may as well give it a shot. In neither case did I really "run" so much as just NOT slow down. I was operating on the "If I don't see lights, I am not running" theory.

Bottom line though, the minute I see lights behind me and there is no longer any deniability I'll be pulling it over and facing the music... No Felony evasion for this guy...

There has also been a few times out with guys where we blow by a sheriff or a trooper and they completely ignore us, so it makes you wonder just how seriously the LEO's take us sometimes... I think a lot of times if your out in the middle of nowhere, your geared up and just having fun LEO's tend to just leave you the heck alone...

I dunno, there are good cops and bad cops...
