Well guys this has been a long time coming. Ive been trying to get into the 8's on a bike for the past year now. I started off on a 14 and got that into the 9.0's before I had an unfortunate accident at the track and totalled it. I replaced it with this 08 and had the same goal to run into the 8's on a stock motored bike. It took a bunch of seat time, but after the past two weekends of running into the 9.0's I finally hit a 8.98 and backed it up with a 8.99:cheerleader: And ran a crap load of 9.0's :banghead:

My best pass looked like this

1.411 60'

5.773 @ 124.8 mph

8.984 @ 159.1 mph (mph must have been a fluke, the right lane at sacramento raceway is a bit generous at times)

and ran a 8.993 @ 156.51 mph in the left lane

I just cant believe how good this bike runs with my fat ass on it, im over 230lbs suited. With some better weather and some more seat time Im sure it will go 9.80's and this is still on 87 pump gas:thumbsup: I just need to get into the 1.3x 60' range.

Here are a couple of pics from the day.

If you want to reach your goal paint it black

That's some great riding. Do you think you would do better on 91 or 93 octane fuel ?

last pic is a lil suspect....

Im running a jri rear shock, it looks similar to a pensky drag shock. It has a 750lb spring on it, (I have it set to 3/8" of sag at the tail light) and im at 63". And Im running 87 octane because it makes the most power besides running oxygenated race gas. You guys should try it if your not already running it. I wouldnt run 91 unless I was spraying, boosted or running higher comp. pistons. 87 is your friend if you have a stock motor:thumbsup:
