Finally ran into the 8's this weekend on stock motor

im running a jri rear shock, it looks similar to a pensky drag shock. It has a 750lb spring on it, (i have it set to 3/8" of sag at the tail light) and im at 63". And im running 87 octane because it makes the most power besides running oxygenated race gas. You guys should try it if your not already running it. I wouldnt run 91 unless i was spraying, boosted or running higher comp. Pistons. 87 is your friend if you have a stock motor:thumbsup:
i heard the same thing aboiut the busa....run 87....i was runnin 87 with no issues for years and decided to start runnin 89 since i bought the m109 i figured i couldnt dare run regular in that beautiful machine...so why deprive my busa too...lol....but 87 always did my busa great!!!

just curious sean, cuz i been wanting to the track really bad....but im not really a drag strip guy although id like to try it...id rather the corners.....what type of money on average does a track day cost you. Obviously that can change from track to track, but give me a break down of your individual experiences..if u dont mind

Going to the drag stip is a lot cheaper than doing a track day at a road course. And it is addicting. Its between 15-50$ to race depending on what type of event is going on. Give it a try youll like it, lots of fun!

Congrats man. Thats cookin.
Shows wha a good setup and a good pilot can do.

230lb suited. That's some ridin to be proud of.

Great accomplishment. I tried for 2 months to break through the 8.99 stock motor barrier, but ran out of patience and bolted on a bottle. 9.01 was my best "stock" pass, and I weight 170. Great job.
