Finally

After searching for a few weeks to find one, waiting 5 days for it to arrive at my front door (with dead battery) and 4 more days of waiting to get my new battery I finally got the Busa out for a decent ride. Did 100 miles on her today. Yesterday was much nicer weather here in IL but I had to wait for the new battery to charge:banghead:.

All I can say is that I am so glad I got rid of my ZX-10R and RC51. Also glad I didnt use the money to buy a GSXR1000. I have been riding for 16 years and this is the first bike that I have ever owned that is perfect for me in all stock trim. Only thing I want to change about the bike at the moment is the springs. They are to soft for me. Other than that this bike blows me away. The power, handling, riding position, transmission, and even the OEM exhaust note is just unbelievable.

I am sure by next year I will be wanting a full exhaust system but for now there is something about the quiet exhaust and smooth engine when cruising along that I like. Plus once I crack the throttle the exhaust has just enough of a low growl to keep me satisfied for now.

Anyone that says that a Hayabusa doesn't handle well is either never riden one, can't ride anyway, or is just a flat out liar. Only problems I am having with the handling at the moment is getting use to how smooth this bike is at speed. I was coming in a little to hot on the curves all day. Once I get the new springs, get use to the smooth power and some Pirellis on this beast she should handle like she is on rails.

I guess it could be that me and the busa are both just big so we work well together..

 4 days to get a battery? ouch..

I ran Corsa3's on mine and loved them.. they just got too much $$$ (went up $100 a set), now on Dunlop Qualifiers and going to try a set of BT016's I have sitting here.

:welcome: My only regret about the Busa is not buying it sooner  I have missed quite a few years of pleasure

Same here. I wanted one back in 2001 but couldnt afford the insurance. So I kind of let it go for a few years .

I was thinking about trying out some BT016 to Bogus. I have been running the Diablo Rosso's. They warm up quick, have excellent grip and wear nicely. I paid $280 for a set last time shipped from ebay.

Going to be a few days before I can get some actual good pictures of the bike. Here are some pictures of the bike from the sellers web page. Enjoy.

Very nice ride..congrats on the new BUSA....I have the Diablo Rosso's nice tires warm up fast, smooth contact and the price at under $300 a set mounted and balanced cant be beat...Not too mention they get much better mileage per set than the softer track bound tires...

Yeah like I posted I have been running these tires and love them. I had them on my ZX-10R and my RC51. They wear really well. They are designed to get the same mileage out of the rear as the front so you don't end up with a new rear and half worn front when it comes time to change tires. I mount my own tires and pay $10 to have them balanced. So for $290 I am usually rolling down the road.

I saw that Busa in person a while back at NPS.
Great bike, congrats :beerchug:

Yeah it looks good and runs strong but I am having a few problems with it that they are working with me on. They already replaced the battery for me because it was dead when it arrived. Now I am having a problem with the cush drive and few other things. I put a post in the busa problem section about it. Just chaps my butt that it is another nice day here and once again the bike is down. Oh well will get it shorted hopefully by tomorrow it is suppose to be in the 60's here

Hope you didn't pay what it was listed at in their showroom.

Get some cash back from them and contact boostbysmith (Greg) for his cush drive kit. KPS CUSH DRIVE KITS
