That is a great bike, obviously, just be very cautious of anything rubber on, stored inside or not.
Valve stems, brake caliper and mastercylinder seals, brake lines can easily corrode.
The brake fluid can also eat everything and/or gum it all up.
Tires are a must too, they may look great, but they are almost 19 years old.
Oil and coolant should be changed too.
The chain could have tight links, and hopefully it was stored without gas in it.
In no way am I trying to rain on your parade either, it's just that I have run across a few gems like this over the years, and age can do hidden damage.
And going around a curve or even 60mph on the highway is not where you want to find out something old gave up on you.
A friend bought an 07 cbr1k in I think 2013, 2014, under 1k miles, beautiful bike.
I touched one valve stem and it fell off, I then plucked the back one...leaving him with 2 flat tires, lmao!
You should have seen his face, lol.
I asked him how long he thought they would have lasted? Or if he would have preffered to find out without me touching them.
Regardless, congrats on a great bike, just check it over well, and if you're comfortable on it, you're gonna love it.
