FIVE O CLOCK, and ALL is WELL!

...don't land on yer face...considering a "maiden voyage" today, to break in the new red and grey Busa...fan melted already, at 10 miles, and I will keep an eye on the sub frame, and have some parts to install pronto, like a manuale cam chain tensioner, but who is perfect? I still don't want another motercycle just now...the ZX12 is tempting, along with a number of smaller and lighter bikes, but the r+d that just went into the old Busa, as well as my growing affinity, and pile of parts for it, made another choice unlikely at best....although I did consider an SV650 as I lay there in the hospital!

....I still have a way to go...planed to ride yesterday, to Marcus Dairy, a real milk run, but didn't...too weak mentaly and angry...maybe today, somthin even simpler, to start....

Dont push it, it'll come back on its own---the need for speed, that is!

...got a face you ain't using? Where the hell did I leave all my things!? Do you think my block off plates made it? A wish I could think of a way for you to help, but I must muddle through this as best I can....any Idea on modding the new Busa would be cool....how long till the cam chain siezes or the subframe snaps? Will one of these things occure before the fuel sreens clog? Do all Busa buyers need "help"? I can't even come up with a reason for getting the first Busa, never mind this one...a viable "reason" to own one would be cool too!

Mr. Hapo, you don't know me from a can of paint, but glad to see you're doing okay and are ready to hop back on and ride. As far as the problems with the 'Busa, but real and phantom. I believe all the rides out there have their problems and if folks were so entranced by them as we are of our 'busas the conversations would be of a similiar nature on boards all across the internet. These boards are an asset with no doubts. But they are great ways to spread rumors and promote anxiety as well.

Stay 'Busa or pick another ride, doesn't matter much to me. I relate to all riders of all bikes. But try not to let the overwhelming opinions on the boards sway you. If I had, I would be riding something else with it's own set of quirky problems.

Ride until you smile!!!

Hey Joker! You obviously don't know me vewy well! I am a Busa Boy, devout and true, but I fear not to call a spade a spade! Your words ring true, stoutheart, at least these be deviles we know! My old Busa never clogged her screens, and never blew up....but she be smashed dead just the same...

Hap, your fan melted at 10 miles? Already? I haven't looked at mine in 3500 miles and I assume it's still ok.
When it "melts" what happens? Does it melt to the point it doesn't work or do just the tips melt.......thanks!

Meet ya at marcus dairy!

hapo

i was and still am in the same boat you are. when a lady thought my blue busa would make a great pontiac hood ornament. in the e.r. i was thinking about my busa if it would live and if not what i should get next.

went to the track saturday in spokan washington and watched the other bikes running. so sunday i finally got mine running again. and went around the block.

i don't know if i will ever be the same. it felt great to be on her again .i will ride on the track but i don't know about riding on the street. she is going to be for the race track only now.

if and when i get another bike it maybe another busa.

its amazing what you can weild together, i.e. clutch master cylinder, and foot peg braket.

mabusa, it is a tcking noise when the fan kicked in...melted tips is a prime cause, but unverified at this point....

Bummer Hangman, Im glad you can ride! I ain't actialy gone riding yet...I move my bikes around a little, but thats about it...I ain't even up to toying with the quad...but there was realy no other choice as to the Busa...if I'm gonna bother making it back...

Mabusa, I took my fan blade off at 2000 miles and all the tips had melted. I called Motorhead and he sent me a Muzzy Aluminum fan blade within 2 days, its very simple to put on too.

Hapo, glad to hear it and again, sorry to hear about the accident. We share the allegience to the 'Busa. Even before the first one hit the street I was in love with it. Only the financial upheaval of buying a house came close to swaying my decision. But oddly, after signing for that much money (mortgage), the additional $4500 I signed a loan for seems minuscule.

I have the Muzzy aluminum fan. Waiting for a real bad week of riding to come this way so I can istall it along with the Yosh full, and PC-2.
