Well I tried the CHKDSK route and even enabled it to run the CHKDSK on restart to no avail.

check the drive makers website... there are complaints and a number of resolutions.. you have tried them all at this point... might be time to go with another brand..

Thats what I was afraid of. I thought I was doing well to buy a name brand drive. Guess not.
