Flat Spots on Tires

#1 cause of cupping is using Dunlap tires
not sure which is more off.. "Dunlap" (sic) or that they are the cause of cupping...

If cupping is your issue,

some cupping is normal on a lot of front tires as they reach the end of their service life..

other cupping is not normal and is a good sign that the front suspension is just toast.. not much adjusting to be done till the oil and valving are freshened up... this is something that is not easy for a rookie to determine.. If the front end is soggy? probably time for some work.. You really need someone familiar with suspension to take a look at the bike IMHO..

Pics might help but if the tires are about worn out, I wouldnt bother..

Its quite common/normal for the centre threads of the tyres to wear off first for everyday normal riding.Unless you does go to track frequently it will show more equal usage on the tyres.

I have personally mailed Metzeler about my previous flat spots. They replied its because not enough cornerings on twisties
