fmu shim problems, again

I replaced the shim in my fmu for the fourth time this year and the fuel pressure idled from 43psi on startup to 56psi when the engine warmed up. I tried to turn it back down, but it would not go any lower. What the heck can be the problem this time? I feel like dropping a lit match in the tank. This is my last turbo bike.

Stock shim? I wrinkled one early on and was told to double it. Has worked like a charm for 2 years.I am only running 6psi,how much boost are you running?

Today I stacked them and it stayed at 43psi.Thanks.I have a 2 stage boost controller set at 7.5# on the 1st stage and 14# the 2nd stage. When the economy is steady again I'll trash the fmu and buy a piggyback system from Pinky.

14psi second stage may be your problem.. whats the fuel pressure at 14 psi boost

Testing on the bench i buckled a shim at 125 psi fuel pressure and ~16-20 air pressure.

Looking to run in this range with ecu editor and 440cc injectors with 1:1 reg and modded pressure sensor, .

Yeah, that is a lot of boost,i am suprised you did not have to replace it every ride!:rofl:Like you say, your best bet is to go to secondary injectors.Glad to see you had no big complications from the fmu going awol.:beerchug:

Sorry for the delay guys. I've doing some research on s2000(24#) injectors vs 62# injectors. I rarely hit the second stage because c16 is just too expensive. The shim wrinkled on low boost.
Does anyone have any experience with s2000 injectors? What is ecu editor?
If there is another way to fuel 15#s (1 more # what hell ) of boost, feel free to advise me. Secondary systems are too expensive in this economy.
