A Hurricane......burrrrrrrrp.......where ?
Did I miss it ? (that's about all I remember from Andrew)
:)

Not sure how bad we'll get it here, if at all, but I know Isabel was a nightmare and she went more inland and was not even a hurricane when she crossed over me. Last night I stocked up on supplies and squeezed my pride and joy Mustang in a tight corner of the shop near Caesar, covered everyone up and left room for Omar's truck...

I'm as ready as I can be and just hope trees don't come down on my house...flooding isn't an issue where I am, but the winds could wreak havoc...

Those darn pesky trees! I'm still debating weather to have a few cut down that are close to my house.

I wouldn't think twice about leaving them if it wasn't for my hurricane deductible on the homeowners Ins.

Went to the beach here this morn for a quick dip and the surfs up !
Even with the storm not coming here it's 4-5ft which is big for us .
Choppy , milky and no fun .
Strong breeze too !

Still not sure if I'm getting anything from this, but members like Dino and BusaPebbles are likely prepping in Virginia Beach...

Omar is flying in from Kansas later today; his region on the country is experiencing thunderstorms, so I'm wondering if he'll even get here...

I may be riding Earl out alone...well, me and my cats  I only have a few of 'em  Send booze...

my busa is back in NC 15 minutes from the beach.... had to call and make sure it was still safe at my uncles... Its nicely covered and tucked away in his shed with the door reinforced :thumbsup:

My best friend is in Hattaras for the week and just got word about an hour ago that they have to evacuate...don't wait it out if it looks bad; there's only one way to get off the islands and the traffic jams will be horrible...

Made it back home around 1AM this morning. Waited to the last minute to avoid the backup on hwy 12. Inlaws left 4 hrs. before us and we spotted them 35 miles closer to home and still managed to make it back home about the same time. I've been thru enough evacuations to know everyone wants to be first. No need to rush with it still over a day out.

Hey peeps how's it goin ?
Looks like it moved a bit eastward and isn't gonna impact y'all too bad ?
