For a laugh

One of my many hobbies is Radio Control aircraft. I am currently building an Alien Aircraft Funmaster 72 which is basically a high wing trainer but it is huge with a 72 inch wingspan. I'm getting to the end of the build and was working on installing the wing mounting system. Previously I had reinforced the top of the wing jont with dacron tape which is fastened in place with lots of thin CA glue (Superglue) and the fumes were burning my eyes so I had turned on the ceiling fan...you can see where this is going.

I took off the wing and was turning around to place it on the shelf and BRRRAPPP. Flaps and ailerons went a'flying and a few pieces of balsa also.

A few colorful words spewed forth and I heard my wife tell my son, "Don't go in there!" Fortunately the damage was not too bad and easily fixed.

Thought you all would get a chuckle out of that one.

P.S. Still waiting to hear from the insurance company if they are going to fix or total my bike. Last I heard the repair was well over 3K just for right side and top plastics and exhaust.

Cool project.

I hate it when insurance companies take so long to decide or issue a check.

I had an accident many many years ago in a 4 wheel vehicle in winter time, it was a 7-8 car pile up.
We all got tickets and most of us fought it in court, about a week later. Most everyone had a check from their
insurance for totaled vehicles - Long story short I had to wait a month to get my check. Lucky for me I had another vehicle.
If I only had one vehicle and needed the money to go get another, I would have been screwed by them taking so long to issue a check.

Needless to say I dropped that company ASAP and never went back.
Insurance is something we all hope we never need - however that is when you really find out what kind of company they are. :banghead:

Be sure to post pictures or better yet a video of that plane, when you get it flying.
