Man, driving along and over the waters of Puget Sound is awesome...by over I mean via ferrys and over the huge bridges. This was my first time having my Busa on a ferry.

Its days like this when I remember why I keep living here in rainy western Washington. While the rest of the country is baking in the sun , we are having perfect weather.
And man , the smell and breeze coming off the ocean waters is something you gotta experience at least once.

These pics do no justice though.

Pics from todays Sportbike gathering in Seattle, I only hung out here for like 10 minutes before I found my buddies ...we wanted to ride, not pose.
LINK!

looks good....just make sure you rinse down your bike. The salt water will definitely advance the corrosion of your metals.

well, true...but you just gave her a healthy dose of seawater.

And don't be fooled by the aluminum stuff either...

Enough salt gets on that and it starts to corrode. Even if you're not near salt water all that much, it's still in the air. Trust me...I live on an island sorrounded by saltwater. The salt stays in the moisture...and gets passed pretty far inland.

It's always interesting how the basic lifespan of a vehicle here is about 10 years. You can have a hole in your floor board in 3 if you go the beach often and don't rinse.

Looks like a GREAT time! Where all did you go? Sorry I missed the Lolo Pass trip. Maybe soon we can all get together for another outing?

I have NO summer trips planned as of yet!

and yep...right dab smack in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I love to do sea-side cruises, but I've noticed a considerable amount of oxidation on the metal bits of the bike.

It gets pretty frustrating you have a friggin screwhead get shorn right off because it's weak and corroded. I hate that...

Scootergirl, I am not sure exactly ha ha! One of my buddies led the way.
I do know that we took a ferry that was close to Alki, it was just to a peninsula. We did not want to wait for a ferry coming back so we drove to Tacoma then back up to Seattle.

We went over a cool bridge in Tacoma, I had never been over it.

Yeah we should ride sometime.

Any straight aways there?  How do you escape from the cops?

we have some straights here, but nothing to allow you a safe 180+ runs.

Heh...what an oxymoron. How can 180+ ever be safe? Oh well.

But yeah...no where to run here. That's why I never understood why criminals here decide to run. Yer on a fuggin island fer crying out loud! Just how far can you run?

You can probably run and duck into the villages and try and lose them, but it's kinda hard.

More often than not you end up crashing. For me? I'll just take the ticket...

There is a ride to Mt Rainier coming up next Saturday...another guy @ Cycleforums set it up...I doubt I will go on that one but I do want to try Rainier sometime but I heard the fuzz patrol it pretty heavily.

My buddy was telling me today that he hit Mt. Saint Helens last week and it was a blast, so I plan on hitting that this summer.

I am also planning a trip to Oregon and I might hit Lolo pass one more time as well as hwy 20 all the way across again...that was fun.
