They are set for my 225 pound butt so you might have to adjust them a little to get the to your liking..

Hey DD your pit bull stand won't work, Pauls talking of the Stem stan that goes under the triple tree..

Heres how I have mine.. 2 jack stands on each side under the motor.. A little trick Rhythm showed me a while back.. Just lift it up with your pit bull and set the stands under each side accordingly and presto solid as can be.. also if your doing your head stock bearings this works very well for that also..

I would just be concerned with all that weight resting on the stator cover and the clutch cover, or on my exhaust. I guess it's time to buy a pitbull stem stand.

No concern at all for me.. Buy a stem stand and try and do your head stock bearings..

when i had my bike resting on the exhaust it was solid as can be. the exhaust didnt even move. u can listen to to worry warts all ya want but when it comes to gettin things done, my way worked and didnt cause any damage to anything plus i saved myself $200+ on a sten stand that would rarely get used...

I will be pulling my forks this winter and sending for revalve/respring/reseal.

You didn't have to pull whole nose off to remove/replace them?

no, u dont not have to pull the entire nose section. all u have to do is remove the calipers, front wheel, front fender, and the plastic undertray on the bottom of the nose section. from there u loosen the 2 clamp bolts on each side and slide the forks out. it is a super simple process. i pulled the lower fairings jsut to make sure i didnt scratch them when i supported the bike on the block.

i will also be pulling them back off this winter for a re-spring/re-valve.
