Yeah, if they were installed right they might have saved him those scratches.. Just a thought though...

(argyle66 @ Jun. 13 2007,11:07) Would these work or are they a waste of time?

thought they would be good than to have to do cutting??

The all mighty busa is a very heavy bike, those bolts would never hold in a spill over. I dont think they would even hold up in a tip over. Save yourself alot of problems and do it right. The ones that you have to cut the fairings have bigger bolts that will give you better chances should the bike go over.

Not worth the time to screw em in! But if you like the look Go for em! Above 40mph all bets are off anyway no matter what U got hangin off the side. The ones you ask about have been blamed for cracking the frame after just a minor gas station tip over!

hahahahaahahahahahahahaha

I bolted mine into the fairing holes, but heli-coiled the bolts to 8mm... so it's a little stronger, but still wouldn't be much good if it fell at some substantial speed!

Mine were more for the visibility and bling factor than saving the bike.

No slider is meant to save the fairings no way, they are meant to decrease damage only to the frame.
