FRESH MINDS TO CORRUPT

Today I received an e-mail from Chase. Here it is in part:

CHASE WROTE (OPENING WORDS OF E-MAIL)

(NO SALUTATION) I had decided that you were no longer needed on the hayabusa.org site...it's
easier to manage without your comments or attitude. After needing to leave
the computer for a bit for another problem, I rethought the act of removing
your account.

END OF CHASE EXCERPT

After thinking about the position this puts me in, I've decided that rather than waiting to be summarily erased for some future misconduct, I'm resigning my membership now.

As much as I might have liked to engage Chase over this, I feel that if I had tried to do so I would have been given the boot...just "disappeared"...without the opportunity to tell you what happened.

My leaving is no reflection on any members. I have the highest respect for all of you, even those who have reasonably (and often rightfully) criticized me in the past. I don't want to leave without saying thank you for all the motorcycling help you've given me.

Chase DOES have the right to run his board as he sees fit. I just don't take well to being muzzled and put on probation.

Having someone take me aside and say "I was going to kill you but I've decided not to" makes me feel like a suspected insurrectionist in a police state.

For some, including Chase, my resignation will improve .ORG. For those who still want to exchange ideas with me from time to time, I'll be over at Ranger's Hayabusa forum.

I wish .ORG all the best. It's been fun!

If we got fresh blood into .org how would we know it? I don't know how many members we have now but I'll bet its several times the number of people that actually post. I've looked at the posts on Ranger's site and a high percentage of them are made by .org guys. Not much fresh blood there.

The whole fresh blood thing has been blown way out of proportion, mainly by DP. My theory is he just wants a bigger audience for his posts. Just a theory.

By the way KA, I have ordered the green paint. The Kawgreen Busa is my winter project. If the ZX12 turns out to be the Y2K hero bike I can just put some aftermarket ZX12 stickers on it and show it off down at the convenience store, they won't know the difference.

DP - I can understand you may be feeling offended at the moment but maybe you should think this over for a day or two?

Todd I agree with all your ZX12 comments!

Sherm forgive me, I am sorry for not being nice to the Kawpukes. NOT!

Maybe you can convince Chase he should change this site name to "ZX12r Wanabe Support.Org", a nicer kinder place to bash Hayabusa's.

There has never been a post here that is not anything worse than what is seen or heard on primetime television.

As Pete said many people use swears in there everyday words, big deal. I do not want a sterile environment, if I want to read lilly white BS I will buy US motorcycle publications.

If you want to admit it or not the LOSS of "Dirty Pete" is a LOSS to Hayabusa.org.

Pete brought some Vitality to a site sometimes short on topic in some recent weeks.

Censorship - If your kids are reading this maybe you should be helping them with there homework. Parents need to spend more time with there children and be involved with their interests, instead of peeking over your shoulder while you hang at Hayabusa.org.
Responsible censorship starts at home.
.............................................
Sherm from reading your above posts I am confused, you describe censorship as a personal choice of discretion as to *where and when* certain words or thoughts are acceptable, then you accept the Busa bashers with brotherly love.

Have you painted your Busa KawPuke Green?
