<-------------- 'Nother morning person.

I think I'm gonna have to get a tow rope to drag Ms. Wag's sleeping carcass along with us. She'll turn to dust if she opens her eyes before, say, noon on any day she doesn't have to report in to work!

LMAO

And the trip is ON!!!!

I don’t plan on going to work tomorrow. Have a few things I need to take care of in the morning but should be good to go around noon.. maybe sooner depending on how the line at the DMV is at 8am

Just so there is no surprise (well I guess it is a surprise now) first ride I am thinking about all of us going up to Sequoia's.. have a few reasons for this.

Things to know about this ride tomorrow.

1) When we get into the park there is a fee to get in. I think it is a few dollars. I have a years pass that I purchased last month.

2) This will probably be more of a joy ride, cruising / scenery ride. Roads can be narrow and some turns whip back (hairpin). Naturally any of you feel the need feel free to lead. One of my accidents I have had was on this road so I respect it

3) We will probably be hitting about 6000 feet (wild guess, last time I was up I hit about 5000 feet and was turned around by park rangers because I did not have snow chains for the Busa.)

I personally like riding up in the mountains. And figure it would be a nice addition since we will be hitting the valley floor and the coast on Saturday.

If this ride does not sound appealing to everyone we can figure out something else. Other options are to eat dinner and hit some of the cycle spots Friday night or we can do both.

Snow chains for the Busa?!?!?! Now that's a novel idea! LMAO

Last weekend, we were on Angeles Crest on the Wrightwood side up to 7,200 feet. It was effing beautiful!!!

Is the road clear? No pine needles or other debris?

I really look forward to this ride.

And bringin' the camera, to be sure!

Sounds good Thrasher! I have a friend from Fresno that will be joining us for that part of the ride Friday. He will probably hook up with us on Mooney near 198.

See ya tomorrow...we are still planning to be there by noon.

Road is not totally clear.. dont think it has been paved in who knows how many years. Cant see how they could do it without shuttin the whole thing down. But I guess some day they will have to. I havent been up there for a month and when I was up there last I was riding over snow, mud, ice patches AND pine needles and some chipped asphalt.. Still a perty ride

Figure we should not see any snow or ice this time around.... (dont think)

Ok, here are some pics of todays ride. will post more pics later...

First one

This is just before entering Sequoia National Park

Some of the group at the top just before we started to head back down. It kept wanting to rain on us so we finally gave in, got out of the Sequoia's and it cleared up!!!

Group Shot of us all. Some nice gentleman asked if we wanted him to take a picture of us all, so we all said yes and handed him all of our cameras, poor guy had cameras around his neck, around his wrists lol. nice of him to offer
